  • Zero Kilometer Death March Marker - serves as a memento of the tragic and historic death march during the World War II. It was when American and Filipino soldiers were forced to march by Japanese invaders from Bataan to Tarlac, approximately 100 kilometers in distance.
  • Japan-Philippines Friendship Tower - the monument, built in 1975, stands as a symbol of Japanese and Filipinos reconciliation, peace, and friendship.

Local Eats

  • Dried Fishes - These include tuyo or dried fish wherein the fish is sliced, cleaned, salted then sun-dried on bamboo stick trays.
  • Tinapa - Fish is cleaned, air-dried, cooked in brine solution then air-dried again. The fish is then placed in smoke modules to undergo smoking process. The fish is ready for final inspection once the skin is shiny and golden brown.
  • Danggit - Rabbit fish or spinefoot is famously known as danggit in the Philippines. The fish is split into half from head to the tail fin, removing the organs then washed, salted and sun-dried. Usually danggit is eaten fried or grilled then dipped in vinegar.
  • Cashew butter - Bataan's version of peanut butter.

Day 1

From Manila, you will be transferred to Bataan. Upon arriving at the hotel, you'll check-in at LAS CASAS FILIPINAS DE ACUZAR, a lodging, open-air museum and heritage park in Bagac, Bataan. After that, you have the time to enjoy the rest of the day.

Day 2

Prepare for TOUR OF THE HERITAGE HOUSES after breakfast. This tour includes the 22 mansions designed carefully to dismantle their antiquity. After the tour, head back to hotel and have a rest.

Day 3

After breakfast, you'll check out from the hotel. Then proceed to BATAAN DEATH MARCH TOUR, a tour which covers the SHRINE OF VALOR AT MT. SAMAT, a 302 ft. which was completed and inaugurated in 1970. Late president Ferdinand Marcos conceived this shrine as a memorial for the sacrifices of the Filipinos who fought and died for freedom. Next on the list are the ZERO KILOMETER DEATH MARCH MARKER and the PHILIPPINE-JAPANESE FRIENDSHIP TOWER, a sign of friendship between the Filipinos and the Japanese. It measures 27 meter or 89 feet and composes three (3) interconnected pillars by multi-layer rings. After the tour, you'll be transferred to Manila.
